Introduction

AECI respects the privacy of its customers. We realize that customer concerns about privacy and the secure transfer, storage and use of personal information have increased with the growth of online services. That's why AECI maintains strict privacy policies and uses industry-accepted technologies to safeguard customer information.

What Kind Of Information Do We Collect?

When you visit our website, there are two kinds of information that we are likely to record:

Non-personal statistical information collected in the aggregate: This is anonymous information on subjects such as how many visitors have come to our site, how they navigate through the site, and which browsers they use to visit the site.

AECI does not sell or trade confidential or proprietary customer information without customer authorization:

It is AECI's policy to strictly comply with regulations promulgated by our state regulatory commissions with respect to sharing of customer information. AECI will not share confidential or proprietary customer information with any party without customer authorization, except where required to by law.

All transfers of sensitive personal information are secured by industry-accepted security protocols and encryption technologies, such as secure socket layer (SSL). We have implemented these techniques with the intent to prohibit other Web users from gaining access to your personal information; however, AECI cannot guarantee that other Web users will not be able to gain access to your personal information.

Cookies

In order to effectively use portions of the site, cookies must be enabled in your browser and may be added to your computer by AECI.

We do not have any content on our site that would be considered harmful to children and certainly do not restrict children from visiting our site. However, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect any specific personally identifiable information from children at this site.

About Us

Even though your electric cooperative is locally owned and committed to your local community, we are part of something bigger too. We are a network of 51 distribution cooperatives in Missouri, southern Iowa and northeastern Oklahoma, serving 935,000 member homes, farms and businesses. We receive power generation through six regional Generation and Transmission (G&T) cooperatives and one collective G&T, Associated Electric Cooperative.
